Petrus Poelina-Hunter is a senior Nyikina traditional custodian and guardian of Martuwarra Fitzroy River Country (Kimberley) with diverse industry, community qualifications and lived experiences.  

Current role, Senior Community Cultural Development Officer, and Martuwarra River Keeper.  His cultural and environmental knowledge and practice spans four decades of living with, hearing and reading the Country.   His current focus is operationalising the Martuwarra Walking Trails and building his capacity in digital storytelling to capture the global biodiversity of Martuwarra the Fitzroy River, its people and the unique flora and fauna for World Heritage, promotion, healing and regeneration.
