Madjulla Inc (est 1988) is an Indigenous community organisation with a focus on capacity building and cultural well-being. 

Madjulla Inc. takes its name from a special and sacred plant known as Barringtonia Acutangula plant which has a deep relationship and meaning not just to Nyikina people but all the traditional owners who use this plant and live along the Martuwarra Fitzroy River. This plant, known as Majala or Gooroo is a common pool resource with the traditional knowledge and benefits shared by Martuwarra Fitzroy River Traditional Owners as an important part of our native title rights and interests.

The foundation of Madjulla Inc is firmly rooted in Nyikina culture, we work to facilitate initiatives that promote combined Cultural and Environmental health for generations to come.

Madjulla Inc has broad National experience in consultation and co-design of strategies that focus on building the capacity of individuals, families and communities towards sustainable economic development.

Partnering with Australia’s leading universities Madjulla Inc facilitates cultural education, research and training programs on Nyikina Country.
