Recording available for 2025 Oration of the Chair of Indigenous Knowledges

The full recording of the 2025 Lucy Ngarbal Marshall Oration, delivered by Professor Anne Poelina and Aunty Annie Milgin, is now available online. This annual event, hosted by the Nulungu Research Institute on the Broome Campus, honours the contributions of senior Kimberley Aboriginal leaders and celebrates Indigenous ways of knowing within a university setting.
Professor Poelina’s oration, titled “Old People Taught Me Many Many Things,” offers deep reflections on the intergenerational transmission of knowledge, law, and cultural identity. The event also featured a Welcome to Country by Yawuru Elder Dianne Appleby and was emceed by Associate Professor Stephen Kinnane.
